Description
Crypto Scales of Justice are 1-of-1 custom colored versions of my DeFi Defenders NFT open edition collection. My design aesthetic for the original DeFi Defenders NFT collection was inspired in part by Jack Butcher’s Opepen memes. I wanted to create a universally identifiable symbol that would capture the essence of crypto law as well as leverage the network effect of meme culture.
Once I settled on the final rough design for DeFi Defenders, I had the template image scaled and vectorized in PNG format. I next used that basic scale template to generate the black and white token for the DeFi Defenders NFT. That collection is still available to mint for free on Manifold.
In addition to the black and white token, I also create custom 1-of-1 tribute DeFi Defenders. These 1-of-1 Crypto Scales of Justice are hand-colored by me using a custom curated color palette.

One of the critical functions that crypto lawyers serve is to protect and defend the freedom of creators and artists to transact on blockchains. So it is only fitting that this collection celebrates those creators and artists in the space. To that end, the first 1-of-1 Crypto Scales in this collection s a tribute to my former DeFi Defense Lawyer PFP--Robotos #4581 by the great artist Pablo Stanley.
