About the Artwork
Generative landscape reconfigured with a computer vision algorithm using artificial generated images.
About the Artist
In my artistic practice and for this work, I have several processes that are constantly mixed and iterated, ranging from the generation of synthetic images created with Machine Learning (AI), to algorithmic processes where I use computer vision to segment, detect, classify, group, and reconfigure pixels. These algorithms, developed in the Python programming language, are nourished by hundreds of synthetic landscape images. They take information (pixels) from these images and relocate them, maintaining their data (color and position) in a new context. Working with these algorithms arose from the question: What happens when a pixel (and its information) is transported and configured in a new space?
