Name
One in a Hundred: Uluru after Rain
Description
This photograph captures the rare beauty of Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock—a monumental sandstone formation that stands at the heart of the Australian outback and is sacred to the Indigenous Anangu people.
My wife and I visited Australia for our honeymoon in 2014, and
Uluru was at the top of our list. We were incredibly fortunate to witness a rare moment: rainfall transforming the rock into a cascade of ephemeral waterfalls; a sight that only ~1% of visitors are lucky enough to experience.
